Alise Oken and Take Away Capture Reserve Championship Award at the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair

Devon, PA - June 4, 2009 - Alise Oken successfully competed at this year's prestigious Devon Horse Show and Country Fair with her top mount Take Away. The pair competed in the Large Junior 16-17 Hunter division and garnered the highly coveted reserve championship prize. Oken rides out of Hi Hopes Farm, owned by her parents, Marc and Celene Oken. Top trainers Steve Heinecke and Jeff Wirthman are the instructors at Hi Hopes Farm, which is based in Charlotte, NC.
Oken and Take Away earned the Large Junior 16-17 Hunter reserve championship tricolor after placing first in the under saddle, second in the handy hunter class, and fourth in the hunter stake. The pair has earned championship and reserve championship awards at the top horse shows across the country. Recently the pair earned the Marie Speed High Score Junior Hunter Perpetual Trophy at the 2009 Winter Equestrian Festival.
Hi Hope's trainer Steve Heinecke competed in the Second Year Green Working Hunter division with Alise Oken's Quintin. The pair laid and excellent track during the stake class and took home the day's blue ribbon.
"Quintin winning the stake was an excellent end to Devon," noted Heinecke. "He jumped fantastic and I could not have been happier. Alise and Take Away were wonderful in the Large Juniors. It was a tough division, but they are a great match and she rode him beautifully."
Hi Hopes Farm will compete next at the Kentucky Horse Park during the Country Heir Horse Show series, held June 3-7 and June 10-14.
