WESTPORT, CT - June 1, 2008 - The EQUUS Foundation, Inc., is pleased to announce that Wachovia Securities, LLC, George N. Venizelos, Managing Director, will be the presenting sponsor of the $25,000 Grand Prix on Saturday, June 28, 2008, at the Fairfield County Hunt Club in Westport, Connecticut.

George N. Venizelos provides financial advisory, brokerage, asset management and other financial services. He is located at the firm's Morningside Drive location in Westport, Connecticut. Wachovia Securities, LLC combines the capabilities of a large national firm with a culture more akin to that of the regional firms from which it evolved. Central to that culture is a strong dedication to supporting the relationship of the Firm's Financial Advisors with their clients. Mr. Venizelos has been recognized as a Premier Advisor with Wachovia Securities, LLC.

Wachovia Securities, LLC is one of the nation's largest full service retail brokerage firms with $1.1 trillion in client assets, and provides financial advisory, brokerage, asset management and other financial services through more than 18,000 registered representatives in over 4,000 locations nationwide. Assets, registered representatives and locations include Wachovia Securities, LLC and A.G. Edwards brokerage offices as well as selected Wachovia Bank financial centers. A.G. Edwards is a division of Wachovia Securities, LLC.

The Foundation is very grateful to Mr. Venizelos and Wachovia Securities, LLC for their continuing support of the horse show. This is the fourth year of their participation, and they have increased their level of participation each year. Mr. Venizelos, an EQUUS Foundation Board member, has been instrumental over the years in also bringing in additional corporate sponsors.

The Grand Prix is the final event of the five-day Fairfield County Hunt Club June Benefit Horse Show, June 24-28, 2008, and will feature some of the top riders in the country competing against the clock at racehorse speeds while navigating over formidable obstacles as high as five feet. The hunt club's field is transformed into a picturesque but very challenging course surrounded by "up close and personal" areas for spectators to share in the excitement.

For those who want to watch in a more formal and beautiful setting plus support the show's beneficiary, the EQUUS Foundation hosts its annual benefit luncheon during the Grand Prix, starting at 11:30 a.m. A $250 tax-deductible donation includes one luncheon seat. All class sponsorships also directly benefit The EQUUS Foundation, Inc., (www.equusfoundation.org), a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, grant-giving organization that seeks to raise public awareness of the value of the horse in society through education and grants to charities that use the horse to benefit the public, promote horse welfare or elevate the equestrian sport.

The Club's "AA-rated" five-day show, June 24-28, 2008, is open to the public with no admission fees and offers spectators the opportunity to experience the thrilling equestrian sport of show jumping as well as peruse the Paddock Boutiques featuring Adele's Equestrian Gifts, Bobbie Braun, Catch All, EQUUS Entries, Georgetown Stable Outfitters, M&F Antique Prints, Palm Classic Apparel, Ponymom Designs, and The Snappy Gator, as well as vendors: Agriventures Agway, Beval Saddlery, Chestnut Hill Saddlery, The Coffee Connection and Reflections Photography.
