MEDIA ALERT! Fairfield County’s Five-Day Horse Show Opens Tuesday, June 26th

More than 750 riders and horses of all ages and levels of ability will compete in the 200 classes to be held Tuesday through Saturday, June 26-30, 2007, on the grounds of the Fairfield County Hunt Club located at 174 Long Lots Road in Westport, Connecticut.

The show is open to the public with no admission fees and offers spectators the opportunity to experience the thrilling equestrian sport of show jumping. Spectators may also shop at the show’s paddock boutiques and participate in daily activities that support the show’s beneficiary, The EQUUS Foundation, Inc.

Featured equestrian events include the $10,000 Amateur-Owner/Junior Jumper Classic on Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 4:00 p.m. The finale will be the $25,000 Fairfield Grand Prix, presented by The Private Bank of Bank of America, on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. The Grand Prix will feature some of top riders and horses competing against the clock at racehorse speeds while navigating over formidable obstacles as high as five feet.
